Giro 2027: Route and stages

The 110th edition of the Giro d’Italia will start in Trieste on Saturday, 8 May 2027. The race will remain in northern Italy for stages 2 and 3, with a detour into Slovenia also on the menu. The upcoming Giro will finish in Rome on Sunday 30 May.

Route & rumours

Next year’s Giro sets off from Trieste on Saturday 8 May. Stage 1 takes the riders partly through Slovenia, while the 2nd stage finishes in Pordenone. The pink caravan is then rumoured to head south along the Adriatic coast before crossing the Apennines to the Tyrrhenian coast and making its way north again through Tuscany, Liguria and Piedmont. The final week is expected to feature the Zoncolan, Gavia and Mortirolo.
